About THE AUTHOR

Matthew J. Gdovin, PhD, is a Christian teacher, author, scientist, and student of scripture with a passion for helping people understand the truth of God’s Word and apply it to everyday life. His teaching emphasizes the certainty of God’s character, the authority of scripture, and the confidence believers can have in the promises of Jesus Christ.

What Jesus Can’t Do For You grew from Matthew's desire to help Christians and non-believers understand that the things Jesus “cannot” do are not limitations on His power, but assurances rooted in His perfect nature. He cannot lie. He cannot break His promises. He cannot stop loving His children. And He cannot cease to be who He is.

Matthew co-founded Fruit of the Vine Christian Ministries of Texas with his co-pastor Jerome Thanheiser. Together, Jerome and Matthew seek to encourage believers to move beyond simply knowing what scripture says to understanding what it means, trusting what it promises, and living according to its truth.

Matthew’s hope is that this book will strengthen the reader’s faith, deepen their understanding of Jesus Christ, and provide confidence in the unchanging character of God.
